Art is my passion. My
childhood was spent with four siblings in a wonderful home full of
love and laughter. I always had access to water color paints and
crayons and paper upon which to create, even if it was the side of a
cardboard box. My favorite subjects in school were art and music.
But art was where I found my joy.
After retiring from the
corporate world, I began to devote more and more of my time to
painting, along with entering art shows and approaching
galleries. I quickly became involved with local artists and
galleries and my work started to sell. I am currently a
participating artist and co-owner of Carriage House Gallery in
Boerne, Texas. I am a member of Oil Painters of America, American
Women Artists, Boerne Professional Artists, and River Art Group.
My next step in my pursuit of
art was to build a studio on my property in the Texas hill country,
a space devoted to creating and teaching as the opportunity arises.
I have recently completed my studio and spend countless hours
planning and creating my next painting. In each still life or
landscape painting I strive to convey the beauty that I see in the
world around me. I invite the viewer on a journey to explore the
world of color, light and form. I want to tell a story with each
painting but I invite the viewer to finish the story.
Art is my therapy of choice.
I seek it daily. It fills my heart and soul.
